Eight strong delegation for European Youth Olympic Festival

Gyor, Hungary will be hosting the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF), which was brought to life in 2009 by former president of the International Olympic Committee Jacques Rogge.  This year’s edition will take place between the 23rd and 29th July.  Joining fifty countries and approximately 3,600 athletes, Malta will be represented by an eight -strong contingent who will be competing in athletics and swimming.

Malta will also be represented in the 4x100m Freestyle and 4 x 100m Medley in the Girls and Mixed Categories.

Both athletes competed in adverse weather conditions, with pelting rain and strong winds. Nevertheless they performed and qualified to pass on to the semi-finals.
