Following months of preparations ahead of the Games of the Small States of Europe, organised in Malta between 29th May and 3rd June, the Maltese Olympic Committee resumed with its annual calendar with the hosting of Olympic Day activities on Friday 16th June.
This year Year 6 learners from 30 State Primary Schools took part in a morning of general fitness sessions held across five different venues in Malta and Gozo, namely Kirkop Sports Complex, Maria Assumpta Sports Complex, Hamrun, St. Aloysius Sports Complex, Birkirkara and the University Sports Complex, Tal-Qroqq in Malta as well as the Gozo Seminary Sports Complex.
All five venues were a beehive of activity as more than 1000 learners and educators indulged themselves in activities reflecting the pure essence of sport after months of hard work at school preparing for their National Benchmark Examinations.
