The Maltese Olympic Committee (MOC) and Bajada New Energy have signed a two-year partnership agreement. Details were given by Julian Pace Bonello, the MOC President during a press conference held on Monday 30th March. Mr Pace Bonello said he was grateful to Bajada New Energy for their commitment to support sport and that these funds will help to boost the technical preparation of elite and youth athletes. In total 87 athletes and 21 national associations will benefit from this agreement.

Mark Bajada, managing director at Bajada New Energy, said that although his company has had an active role, for the past 25 years, in the country’s economic development, an agreement of this kind is a first for the company and he hopes that this will kick-start a good relationship with Malta’s highest sport authorities.

The press conference was also addressed by Jonathan Vella, director of marketing at the MOC who gave out all the details on this agreement.

Also present for this press conference were Flavio Cecchi, CEO and Robert Farrugia, Commercial Head, Bajada New Energy.
