The 3 pillars of the Olympic Day – Move, Learn, Discover

The Olympic Day is much more than just a sports event, it is a day for the world to get active, learn about Olympic values and discover new sports. Based on the three pillars move, learn and discover, National Olympic Committees are organising sports, cultural and educational activities throughout the world.

  • Move
    • People are encouraged to move not only on the Olympic Day but also beyond. In these unprecedented times, we have learned more than ever the essence and importance of moving and doing physical activity to stay healthy
  • Learn
    • Through the Olympic Day, people are encouraged to continue on the learning journey. The Olympic Movement feels it is essential to continue on delivering and passing knowledge on the values of striving for excellence, demonstrating respect and celebrating friendship.
  • Discover
    • We encourage everyone to discover different sports and contact our affiliated National Associations to see how you can start practicing a sport.
