Malta Invitational Games

In a bid to boost sports that are not part of the Sports programme during the forthcoming Games of the Small States of Europe in 2023, the Maltese Olympic Committee has taken the initiative to host the inaugural edition of the Malta Invitational Games.

The first edition of these Games, held in October 2022 hosted 180 athletes, representing 10 countries including. Andorra, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Faroe Islands, Gibraltar, Iceland, Luxembourg, Montenegro, San Marino and Malta. The Sports Programme for 2022 included Bowling, Taekwondo and Triathlon

The Maltese Olympic Committee strives to keep on presenting and implementing these Games to increase competitivity within the different sports in Malta, help prepare Maltese athletes better with international experience and attracting sports tourism to the Maltese islands.
